Data Center Test Solutions
Due to demand for ever-increasing faceplate density and data rate, form factors and MSAs designed to serve these requirements have proliferated. Fixtures, adapters, analyzers, and cabling are required to set up the test systems of equipment vendors for the testing and qualification of their products. MultiLane’s commitment to supporting the evolution of the data center has not only led us to present a complete selection of these Data Center Test Solutions’ products but also to ensure that these tools are always compliant with the relevant standard. For example, MultiLane supports host compliance boards, module compliance boards, loopback modules, and analyzers for I2C CMIS and state machine testing.
Host Compliance Boards
A host compliance board is a breakout fixture that can be plugged into the system host side to provide access to the host electrical input and output signal (TP1a, TP4a compliance test points). It is a passive structure for optimum signal integrity.
Module Compliance Boards
A module compliance board (MCB) is a breakout fixture into which a transceiver module can be plugged to provide access to the electrical input and output signals (TP1, TP4 compliance test points) of the module. MultiLane’s MCBs are designed to provide an efficient and easy method for programming and testing transceivers and active optical cables. These MCBs include a complete user-friendly GUI that supports all features defined by the respective MSA.
112G Data Center Test Solutions
MultiLane is proud to announce its data center test solutions for 112 Gbps per lane and has started delivery of its 800G OSFP test development kit. Host Compliance Boards, Module Compliance Boards, and Loopbacks are now available. QSFP112 and QSFP-DD800 fixtures will follow in the near future. The pluggables will be equipped with standard 2.4 mm precision connectors; 1.85 mm connectors are also available upon request.

The GUI simplifies configuration processes to enable intuitive memory map programming and testing. It is designed to provide an ideal environment for transceiver module testing, characterization, and manufacturing.
Loopback Modules
Passive/Thermal LoadsLoopback modules are packaged in a standard MSA housing compatible with its respective ports. Transmit data from the host is electrically routed (internal to the loopback module) to the receive data outputs and back to the host. These modules act as thermal loads and have programmable power dissipation. This design provides an economical way to exercise system ports during R&D validation, production testing, and field testing.
Industrial Grade LoopbacksTo meet the more stringent requirements for applications such as outside plant, CPRI, 5G and access, MultiLane is now offering loopbacks with industrial grade temperature ranges of -40 C to +85 °C. This upgrade is offered for the following MSA standards: SFP-DD, SFP, QSFP, QSFP-DD, OSFP and all the CFPx form factors.
30W 800G QSFP-DD Loopbacks
To be able to test next generation systems that will use 800G optics higher power loopbacks are required. MultiLane’s 30W QSFP-DD800 loopbacks ML4062-TL2a-112 will soon be available for this kind of system stress testing.
Active Loopbacks
MultiLane enables the comprehensive equalization techniques required at 800G with the implementation of our new range Active Loopback modules.
